High Hroth System
The journey to meet the Dronav was a risk: given the recent official change in policy regarding the Graal Hegemony, there was no guarantee that the Vassal Armed Forces would allow an RWU vessel in peacefully. The hope was that the Dronav military was not a mere puppet of its overlords, and would not go out of its way to prove loyalty to an Imperialist oppressor.
C>High Hroth Port Authority> "This is the Revolutionary Workers' Navy picket ship Sunbeam, carrying representatives of the Revolutionary Workers' Union. We greet the Workers of the Holdworlds in peace and solidarity, and request permission to dock in an orbital station or land on-planet to conduct negotiations with their government officials. Furthermore, we are sending you up-to-date language and civilization files, and request yours in return."

The picket ship released its sole shuttle, which landed as instructed.
As per RWU standard procedure, the ambassador that emerged from the vessel, flanked by two Ayar soldiers, was herself a Dronav. As with Centricus, Dronav slaves had been rare and technically illegal sales during the Antoviyan regime. The majority of Dronav currently in the Union were sympathizers who had come from abroad to fight in the Revolution. While most had returned to their homeland after the war, enough of a minority banded with the latter-generation slaves to establish Viipuruz'dur, the "Revolutionary Hold," a place of cultural rebirth for latter-generation slaves and cultural synthesis of Dronav with the various peoples of the RWU.
"Greetings, comrades of the Holdworlds," the ambassador began. "I am Captain-Diplomat Viipuruz'dur Hjaeger Aada. What friends do I have the pleasure of meeting?"
The Dronav's mask was an extension of her military helmet, green but for a single red star on her forehead. Such humble marking, like that of the rest of the RWN and the RWA, was a sign of leaving behind the age of competition for social status and embracing a new age of solidarity.

"I am Kevlac Ballor Gresh and greetings to you daughter of the far hold." The man was old by Dronavi standards, well into his late 270's. His mask was of old silver heavy with tarnish and it's designs now nondescript with wear and age. He leaned heavily on a hardwood stick in his hand. "I trust your hold stands firm despite the hardships of the galaxy. We see you've placed your trust with this RWU." Each hold was technically considered a city-state to it self, and could ally with whom they pleased. "May I be so bold as to inquire why you have come to visit."

"I have come," replied Aada amicably, "to extend a hand of friendship from Viipuruz'dur and the greater Workers' Union to which it has pledged its allegiance and, yes, its trust. Know that the Workers of the Revolution have long respected the Holdworlds for their just values and society, so rare in the galaxy of today.
"However, worker-merchants of the RWU have heard reports of the spread of slavery into the Holdworlds via the importation of Graal slaves. If these reports are accurate, though we share with you your hatred of the Graal Hegemony, we ask that you not exercise this hatred, even if your slavery is kinder than that of their former masters, on innocent Graal who have as much to hold against the Hegemony as you. If you will refrain from this by abolishing slavery and the slave trade, we will demonstrate our friendship and solidarity with the Workers of the Holdworlds by replacing your lost trade with the Autocrat with trade with the Workers of the Revolution, free of any tariff or duty. If, in fact, there is no slavery in the Holdworlds to condemn, then we offer still the same in trade.
"Furthermore, we are eager to hear of any other ways in which we may be of assistance to our brothers and sisters of the Holdworlds, if you have any of your own proposals to bring forth."

"I understand your concerns with the Graal slaves. While we do provide wages and allow the option of buying their contracts their treatment is to be fair, less than ideal. While there are those willing to consider it's removal, the consensus from the guilds in that the use of slave labor is beneficial to our people and allows them an outlet for their frustrations." Gresh's eyes darted to the crude obviously Graal manufacture camera as if to say 'they're watching'. "And I fear that any trade you offer may be subject taxation by the Hegemony if they allow it at all. I understand that they place a 20% tariff on all UCLC profits on trade in our system, and from our understanding there is substantial ire towards the RWU in the Hegemony at this time so I must bid you good day." The old man leaned in shook the ambassador's hand leaving a small data chip with the old Dronavi rune for 'Listen' and proceed to hobble away. "Keep safe your hold daughter of Viipuruz'dur."

"And yours as well, son of Kevlac," Aada replied, wrapping her fingers around the object placed in her hand while not moving her gaze from the eyes behind the elder Dronav's mask. "Let us hope that the future will yield more opportunity for justice, solidarity, and cooperation."
With that, the captain-diplomat turned around curtly and walked back to the shuttle with her escort. As far as she was concerned, the meeting had gone ideally: Rather than move to a different location to negotiate at length with the risk of the Graal seizing the Sunbeam, Gresh had used swift and clever maneuvering to do what needed to be done as quickly as possible. That is, if the chip indeed contained anything to inspire the hope Aada had mentioned before leaving.

Revolutionary Workers' Navy Command Center, New Sovereignty
The Dronav of the Revolutionary Hold was allowed to look on with the top commanders of the RWN as the chip was scanned and processed. The group awaited some image, text, or audio message with silent but tense and eager anticipation.

A simple message had been sent throughout the Galaxy reaching all the many civilizations of the stars. "We the Dronav Holdworlds reject the treaty of Treaty of Linnuwug and if the Graal will not leave on their own they will be removed by force any who help us will be considered friends of Dronavi."

Kevlac Ballor Gresh had boarded a transport to New Sovereignty more specifically the hold of Viipuruz'dur. In his 273 years of life he had managed to visit almost every hold in existence and he was quite looking forward to this new adventure.
The little transport was sending out a signal requesting permission to engage in a diplomatic mission.

The city itself was a dense grouping of thousands of megaplex structures, blends of Ayar and Dronav architecture that allowed for super-industrial and super-housing complexes as much underground as above-ground. Remarkably, the city had no streets; only networks of walkways and maglev lines, almost uniting it into one giant structure.
Where there were open spaces -walkways, courtyards, train stations- election fever was gripping Viipuruz'dur. The air was filled with the chatter of open-air political discussions and loudspeakers reciting party slogans, while thousands upon thousands of party banners fluttered from windows and rooftops. Most common were the symbols and party lines of two parties.
The Viipuruz'dur Party defended the current status of the Revolutionary Hold as a self-determining city-state loyal to the RWU, with its own border control, currency, and government. On the other hand, the Union Communist Party advocated extending its trademark Greater Cooperative model to the Hold and uniting it more completely with the RWU by eliminating border controls, adopting the RWU Rubal*, and instituting a mostly Ayar-style Takudar, modified to fit certain Dronav traditions. Remarkably, the Union Leneruist Party was a minor party in the city; its economic platform emphasizing fundamentally decentralized cooperatives resonated little with most Dronav.
Kevlac Ballor Gresh was led by maglev to the City Center, an administrative complex whose central courtyard was the heart of the month's storm of political debate. Inside the building itself, in a large conference room overlooking the courtyard, sat five Dronav with the Golden Rifle of Viipuruz'dur imprinted on their grey masks and robes.
'Greetings to you, comrade Kevlac Ballor Gresh," spoke one of the five. "We are the Viipuruz'dur Council, and I am Spokesperson Viipuruz'dur Hjaeger Jensen. It is an honor to receive you.
"So, tell us, what statements or proposals do you bring from the Holdworlds?" __________
*Rubal: The Revolutionary Workers' Union currency, handed down from the short-lived Free Ayar Republic. The old Awodejan (Central Continent) word means, simply, "that which is earned."

Gresh nodded to the spokes person. "I have been given the honor to come here to convey the thanks of the holdworlds to RWU and reestablish the bonds between the holds, even those far from the home world. I am here to request a trade between our nations. I hope we do not presume to much to think that you can make such agreements on behalf of the RWU."

"You do not presume too much," Jensen replied. "We have the authority to sign an agreement, though the Union Council will have to ratify it. In this case, I would stake my life on the treaty passing through without issue.
"In fact, our President-Premier has conveyed to us his desire to see a Military Alliance, or at least a Mutual Defense Pact, formed with the Holdworlds. Is this feasible?" Jensen was aware of the isolationist tendency of the Dronav Holdworlds' leadership, and with the former FHA now in power, that tendency was likely to intensify.

"At this time we believe such agreement should be held off until the Graal and their allies are dealt with in their entirety. We would not wish to cause the Esharans to feel excluded and take umbrage by such a treaty. It would be better under the circumstances that all three of our nations should discuss such a treaty. At this time disunity would only serve to help our foes."
