Dronavi War of Liberation (1/4) Belligerents: Dronav Holdworlds vs Graal Hegemony Backstory: As a result of the Graal-Dronavi War, the Dronavi have been kept as little more than a puppet of the Graal Hegemony. However, an underground resistance known as the Free Holdworld Army continually fought against the Graal and the collaborator government in power. For the past three years, the FHA have been quietly organizing men and material from the last war. The planned coup was given further support by sympathetic army officers and politicians. In what became known as the Dronavi Rebellion or Dronavi War of Liberation, forces loyal to the Free Hold Army and other splinter groups launched a system wide assault against the Graal occupiers. Ships that were due to be handed over to the Graal faced the mutinies of their crew, while on land pro and anti Graal forces fought it out across Dronavi factory districts and the Holds. The Graal are well entrenched and the puppet government in Dronaz'dum is keen to retain it's grip on power. Victory will not come easy. Points of Interest:Grand Campaign: This is the thread for the movement of forces, diplomacy and negotiations. Only those allotted may post in this thread. DURING WAR TIME. ALL INVOLVED CIVILIZATION PURCHASES GO HERE AND THE PURCHASE THREAD. Cycles: One full post (All Belligerents, ModMark) is FOUR MONTHS. During a war, every full CYCLE (year), a new turn is allotted. This is to ensure the other civilizations don't go churning ahead while the civilizations at war are left behind. Actions: Every post will use the following format: Purchases, Movement, Diplomacy. Role Play takes place during battles. Forces:Graal Hegemony:-- 1 Battleship -- 3 Destroyers -- 2 Frigates -- 6 Infantry Armies (1.2 million men) -- 1 Planetary Fighters (20,000 men/ 3,000 aircraft) -- 1 Artillery Army (20,000 men/ 3,000 guns) -- 1 Planetary Conscripts (200,000 men) COLLABORATOR FORCES: -- 1 Infantry Armies (100,000 men) -- 2 Planetary Conscripts (200,000 men) Dronav Holdworlds (includes FHA Forces) :(note: several of the land units are facing equipment problems due to the fact that the Graal control most of the output of the factories. This will be addressed in modmarks) -- 4 Planetary Conscripts (400,000 men) -- 4 Infantry Armies (400,000 men) -- 1 Battleship -- 6 Destroyers -- 2 Carrier (1 Carrier not at full fighting capacity due to skeleton crews) -- 3 Frigates --2 Armored Divisions (1 Armored Divisions only at 60% capability due to equipment shortages) Subject of Dispute:1 Dreadnought (currently the subject of a fierce battle between pro and anti Graal forces, see Mutiny on the Starkiller thread) Post Order:-- Dronav Holdworlds -- Graal Hegemony -- ModMark

FHA Uprisings (2/4) The FHA inspired uprisings across the Holdworlds, for the most part have met extreme levels of success. Many of the colony worlds have been seized with little difficulty, as the Graal forces stationed there were light. However, it was on High Hroth and Fundi'Garn that the Dronavi ran into stiffer resistance. Despite initial success, the Dronavi forces momentum was kept in check by the Graal garrison force whom quickly put into place measures to destroy all Dronavi industry and production capabilities. The Dronavi were defeated at the critical battle to seize the Skoda Works on High Hroth, leaving the Graal well entrenched while on Fundi'Garn the Graal have been cut off. That hasn't stopped them from wreaking destruction across the planet, with casualties estimated in the hundreds of thousands. The deciding factor would be the arrival of the Esharan Fleet, using it's advanced hyperdrive capabilities to arrive quickly to the aid of the embattled planet. The Graal have begun to evacuate High Hroth after destroying the important Skoda Works, while a bloody space battle ensues over the planet. Esharan troops have begun to land at strategic points across High Hroth. Effects:Eshara and the RWU declare war on the Graal HegemonyDamages:-3 Factories destroyed (2 High Hroth / 1 Fundin'Garn) -1 Xenophite Extractor destroyed (High Hroth) - 1 Research Facility destroyed (Fundin'Garn) -Graal troops on Fundin'Garn are running short of supplies and ammunition, with possibility of evacuation dwindling. New Posting Order:-Dronav -Graal -Eshara -RWU -Modmark

Dronav Holdworlds Liberated (3/4) Under the combined weight of the Allied Fleets and the Dronavi resistance movement on the ground (with primarily RWU troops fighting alongside them on Fundi'Gar) the Graal's strangehold on the Dronavi economy and homeworlds has been lifted. However, it has come at an extreme price. Millions of Dronavi are dead, dozens of cities have been completely destroyed or devastated, and the Dronavi Holdworld's are experiencing mass civilian and political unrest with no real government forming in the aftermath of the Graal's collaboration government falling. With the Graal menace kept in check for the moment, the Alliance that kept the powers together appears shaky. A fact that was illustrated when Dronavi ships threatened to fire on Esharan vessels attempting to land troops and deliver aid to stricken civilians. Many Dronavi have only had their isolationist views reinforced under Graal occupation. It will take years, if not generations, for society in the Holdworlds to be mended. In the interim, the Allied Fleet is gathering for an invasion of the well fortified Graal Hegemony with well over two million troops expected to take part in the land campaign to finally crush the threat of the Graal on the galaxy. It remains to be seen however whether or not the Alliance will fall into infighting and bickering before a decisive victory can be landed.

Siege of Sorguth Prime Varium's arrival would break the tenuous standoff on Sorguth Prime. The fleet rode in hard and managed to evade the allies' outer patrols. But they could not avoid the fleet orbiting Sorguth Prime. Any final approach to the planet would give the allies an opportunity to intercept. Hot insertion was possible, but risky. Then there was the Reich. Their fleet had passed through Dronavi space unhindered and arrived at the edge of Graal space. They were a wildcard, with unknown intentions that could make or break the invasion. The situation on the ground grew more tedious by the day. Each of the allies had carved their own footholds on the planet, but despite their successful landings the Graal had succeeded in defending the keys to the planet. The allies remained separated and the Graal firmly in control of the planet's cities and industrial centers. Even as the RWU bombarded Graal positions they suffered from the extreme heat and supply difficulties. The situation on the ground was, for now, a stalemate.
